The Minister of Communication Technology Mrs. Omobola Johnson has said that the signing of MoU with the Cross Rivers State Government will leverage part of the world class infrastructure and services of the Tinapa Business and leisure resort in Calabar to create a knowledge city.

Executive members of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) led by her National Vice President, Engr. Otis Anyaeji on Friday 10th June, 2011 undertook a tour of facilities at the Tinapa Business Resort with a view to assessing its suitability as venue for her proposed National Conference.

The recently concluded 65th edition of the former All Nigeria/ Mobil Athletics Championship, rechristened All Nigeria/Cross River Athletics championship was a carnival of some sort as it produced all the pomp and pageantry that accompanies an actual carnival and as well as the excitement expected of an elite championship of that magnitude.

For six days beginning 25th of March , Ghain Nigeria , a HIV/ AIDS initiative and her major international partners FHI, GLRA, AXOIS, and HUCE’ PACE brainstormed at TINAPA BUSINESS RESORT on the theme: PRACTICAL APPROACH TO QUALITY ASSURANCE TOWARDS WHO- AFRO ACCREDITATION OF THEIR EXISTING LABORATORIES.

Only last week, the pristine environment of Tinapa attracted the government of Imo state to embark on an Executive Retreat. The Management of Tinapa had to contend with a delegation of 170 persons.
