Tinapa : Where to Stay

The 242 Room Tinapa Lakeside Hotel is located just beside the Man Made Tinapa Lake and has been designed with both the Business Traveler and the family in mind. Guests can choose between the Standard Rooms, Suites and Executive Rooms each of which is air-conditioned with Satellite Television en-suite shower, whilst a good number of the rooms allow a view of the Lake as well as the Calabar River.

Furthermore, guests staying at Amber are provided with the opportunity of enjoying other leisure components within the resort such as the Tinapa Waterpark and the Tinapa Seaworld Arcade as a complimentary package.

A short stroll from the Lakeside Hotel can take you to any of these components as well as the Shopping Centre.

Tinapa : Getting to Tinapa

The Tinapa Free Zone & Resort can be accessed through a variety of ways comprising Land, Water and Air.

Located just off the Ikom –Calabar High way at the Eight Miles Junction, Tinapa is a mere Three Kilometers from that point as you cruise along the scenic four lane Tinapa-Adiabo. You cannot miss its breath-taking entrance.

Lying beside the Calabar River, Tinapa can also be accessed by boat from the waters into the Man-made Tinapa Lake. At the moment, a small fleet of boats provide shuttle services for visitors to and from the near by Marina Resort. This trip on the Calabar river takes about fifteen minutes.

Furthermore, three of Nigeria’s foremost commercial airlines currently fly in and out Calabar from Lagos and Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria. These are Aero Contractors, Virgin Nigeria and Arik Airlines. On arrival at the Margaret Ekpo International Airport, Calabar, a variety of commercial vehicles will be available to take you to Tinapa at mutually agreed rates. The Tinapa Lakeside Hotel also provides shuttle buses in conjunction with the Remlord Vehicle Hire Company that pick- up and drop-off guests of the Hotel for a minimal fee. On the whole, the journey from the airport to Tinapa is twenty minutes on the average.

In addition to these, visitors who wish to fly into Tinapa using Helicopters can do so after seeking and receiving clearance from the Zone Management for this purpose.
