Executive members of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE) led by her National Vice President, Engr. Otis Anyaeji on Friday 10th June, 2011 undertook a tour of facilities at the Tinapa Business Resort with a view to assessing its suitability as venue for her proposed National Conference.
The first port of call for the delegation was the Tinapa Man-made Lake from where they proceeded to visit the breath taking Tinapa Water Park. There, they watched with delight as other guests of the Water Park enjoyed themselves in the Swimming Pools and Water Slides.
At the Film Studio, the team who were personally conducted by the Managing Director of Tinapa, Mr. Bassey Ndem, bumped in on members of a sister Professional body, the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors who were in Tinapa for a Gala Night to mark the end of their 2011 National Conference in Calabar.
After exchanging pleasantries and engaging in some useful industry networking, the group left for the Tinapa Shopping Complex where they were taken through the Emporia as well as Line Shops.
At the Seaworld Games Arcade, members of the N.S.E were delighted to note that the array of games available at the Arcade would appeal to their children and other family members during the forthcoming event which they hope will ford them an opportunity to relax with their families after a tasking year.
Similar visits to the designated space for a Casino, the Cinemas and a Food Court, led the team to the recently revamped 242 Room Tinapa Lakeside Hotel.
Shortly after the tour, the visiting Executive Members of the Nigeria Institute of Engineers went into a closed door meeting at the Tinapa Business Resort Conference Room to appraise and share their experience. During the meeting, they took out time to thank the MD of Tinapa for the warm reception accorded them and promised to not only consider Tinapa as a venue for their forthcoming National Conference, but as a permanent venue for subsequent events to be organised by the Society.
